JDP Products plate products thicknesses are based on ASME B16.48 specifications. Ring Joint (RTJ) dimension and tolerances are in accordance with A.N.S.I. B16.5 and B16.20. ASME B16.47 for larger diameter flanges.
Our plate products are available in a variety of materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and other special alloys can be furnished upon request. One coat for standard shop primer (flat black) will be applied to all carbon steel plate products unless specified differently.
The standard finishes are Smooth Mill (Some scale may be apparent ) and Serrated: 125 - 250 AARH (3.2 - 6.3 Ra)
Spectacle Blinds, Paddle Blinds & Paddle Spacers
For Paddle Spacers, the hole diameter in the handle is 1/2" for 1" wide handles, and 3/4" for 1-1/2" wide handles. ASME B16.48 prohibits the use of indicator or bolt holes in the handles of Paddle Blinds. However this option is available if required by purchaser.
Bleed Rings, Drip Rings, Test Inserts
Able to be matched with any flange type, Bleed Rings are a ring section with one or more radial pipe connections designed to fit between standard flanges with the bolt circle, using conventional gasket materials.
JDP Products standard Bleed Rings are manufactured with one 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch, threaded or socket-weld tapping to allow easy connection of valves and instruments. Multiple taps can be provided but must be orientated by customer. Thickness of ring may be affected if larger taps are requested.
